Making and Sealing Boxes

If using our boxes, seal them securely with good quality brown tape (available from us). First, tape across the center, ensuring the seam is covered for initial support. Then, tape along the seam to the ends for added security. For extra strength, tape along all edges (as shown in the diagram). Clearly label each box with a permanent marker, indicating the destination room and a brief description of the contents (e.g., KITCHEN - PANS, BEDROOM - CLOTHES). Mark fragile boxes clearly with "FRAGILE."

Small Removal Box

Small yet heavy items such as tins, bottles, crockery, cutlery, records, and weighty ornaments necessitate careful packing. This also applies to wine glasses, delicate ornaments, very fragile china, and small pictures. To ensure the safety of these fragile items, it is advisable to use packing paper or bubble wrap. Pictures and mirrors should be securely wrapped in bubble wrap for added protection. When packing books, it is preferable to place them flat; if they must be positioned on their edges, take care to avoid placing the spine facing upwards, as this could compromise the binding.

Medium Removal Box

These boxes represent our most favored choice and are utilized for various household items, including pots, pans, glassware, china, ornaments, photographs, clothing, and food. It is crucial to avoid overfilling the boxes, as any items that rise above the top may be crushed during transportation. When packing, ensure that the boxes are square and devoid of bulging or gaps, and position them on their edges rather than flat on the van's floor. Additionally, refrain from packing fragile items with heavier ones, as this will complicate their movement.

Large Removal Box

These items are suitable for bedding, apparel, linens, footwear, toys, games, and lightweight cookware. It is advisable to allocate these for your existing bedding and clothing that require easy access. Avoid packing them with heavier items, as this will complicate transportation.
